With seven comprehensive colleges encompassing music, fine arts, drama, dance, film and new media, cultural resources, and humanities, as well as various professional performance venues on campus, TNUA offers an unparalleled level of completeness and comprehensiveness. The Department of Music at TNUA, established in 1982, aims to cultivate professional musicians with a strong foundation in traditional Chinese music, a deep understanding of Western music, and advanced skills in composition, performance, music theory analysis, interpretation, and related performing arts. Our faculty members are renowned musicians, and our students and alumni have made significant contributions to the international music scene.

The Department of Music boasts world-class facilities, providing students and faculty with an optimal learning environment. In addition to various classrooms, the department offers 65 faculty studios, 23 research rooms, and 143 practice rooms equipped with 130 grand pianos. The extensive music library collection caters to the intellectual curiosity of students and faculty. Furthermore, the Ma Shui-long Concert Hall and the organ concert hall provide professional performance venues for students to showcase their talents.
